"Good fortune is what happens when opportunity meets with planning"

- THOMAS EDISON

At Johnson Wealth Management, we start our relationship by sitting down with you and asking questions about what's important to you, what your goals and wishes are, and what you hope that your money will do for you. We then analyze your current situation and determine exactly where you are in relation to meeting your goals. Next, we put together a plan to help get you from where you are to where you'd like to be.  Wealth Management incorporates a number of different planning areas. Depending upon your unique situation, those may include:

Retirement Income Planning

At some point in life you're going to decide it's time to stop working for money, or, circumstances will determine that for you. Either way, it's important that you've prepared well and will have the means to maintain your lifestyle for the remainder of your life. The sooner you begin to prepare for retirement, the better. Thinking through what you'd like retirement to look like for you, assessing where you are currently in relation to that desire, and designing a plan to get you there is what we do. Let us help you dream big and design a plan to get you there.

Philanthropy

For many of our clients, philanthropy is one of their primary financial goals. By doing so, we can often reduce income, capital gains taxes, and possibly estate taxes. By thinking strategically about giving, we can save on taxes, give more, and change the world.

Risk Management

You've worked hard to build your wealth and it's worth protecting. As we work together in developing a comprehensive financial plan, we will review your current areas of risk and make sure that you're not overexposed. If you are, we'll tell you where, why, and how it should be addressed.

Estate Planning

Where will your stuff go when you die? Who will make financial and health care decisions if you can't? Who takes care of your minor children should you pass away unexpectedly. There are all important questions to be answered.

Investment Management

After determining what's most important to you and your family, we will build an investment portfolio that aligns well with your objectives. We build portfolios grounded in decades of academics and real-life returns. Because we spend the time necessary to understand exactly what your goals are and how long you have to meet those goals, we can build a portfolio aligned with your desires.

Our Investment Philosophy:

Markets work: Capital markets do a good job of fairly pricing all available information and investor expectations about publicly traded securities.

Diversification is key: Comprehensive, global asset allocation can neutralize the risks specific to individual securities.

Risk and return are related: The compensation for taking on increased levels of risk is the potential to earn greater returns.

Portfolio structure explains performance: The asset classes that comprise a portfolio and the risk levels of those asset classes are responsible for most of the variability of portfolio returns.

Step 5: Sleep On It

We want you to make an educated and informed decision. Having been in business for more than 20 years, we are in no rush for you to make a decision. Prior to deciding whether we should work together, you will want to answer the following questions:

  • Do I like/trust/respect the team at Johnson Wealth Management?

  • Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?

  • Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?

Step 6: Paperwork (third meeting)

During this meeting we will make sure all your questions are answered and if you are ready, start the paperwork to become a client.

*While we would love to work with you, we know that we won't be a good fit for every one, and if that's the case, we'll do our very best to steer you in the right direction. In other words, there is never a hard-sell or pressure to say yes. We hope that if you decide to move forward, both of us feel confident that we will be your advisors for the rest of your lives.
